  • CLAIMS REPRESENTATIVE - FULL TIME

    Job Title:                    Claims Representative

    Summary Description

    This position is responsible for expediting the accounts receivable process by monitoring all assigned accounts from charge entry to the time the charge is paid, assigned to collections, or written off as either deceased or bankruptcy.

    Essential Functions

    Communicates in a professional manner with patients to ensure correct insurance and patient information is entered in the billing system; to encourage patients to pay outstanding balances so balances are not assigned to collection agencies; to establish payment arrangements with patients within established office protocol; to accept credit card payments; and to provide excellent customer services in regards to patient questions.
    Determines the proper action necessary to take regarding claim denials by using established office procedures.
    Conducts research to determine why claims have been denied. Generates and submits appeals to insurance carriers as needed.
    Processes incoming Explanation of Benefits statements, as well as internal reports as specified by protocol and supervisor.
    Furnishes price quotes to self-pay patients.
    Processes special projects as assigned within the billing office that support organizational goals.
    Communicates and cross-trains with others in the department.
    Provides professional, courteous, and customer service-oriented back-up coverage to the Front Desk, as required.
    Interfaces with Lead regarding any and all departmental concerns.
    Attends staff meetings as requested and follows all company policies and procedures.

    Summary Description

    This position in responsible for applying their expertise in the area of obtaining diagnostic radiographic images while providing exemplary quality service to patients.

    Essential Functions

    Prepares patients for exams by greeting the patient by his/her name, obtaining patient history information necessary to perform or evaluate the procedure, and provides instructions and an explanation of the procedure to obtain the best possible image and reduce the patient’s anxiety.
    Operates CT equipment to obtain high quality CT images as defined by exam specific protocols.
    Prepares area for exam by ensuring the proper equipment and supplies are available before the patient is called for exam.
    Performs venipuncture and obtains IV access for contrast injections.
    Performs BUN and Creatinine clearance prior to injecting contrast to ensure patient safety.
    Practices ALARA principles to reduce radiation exposure.
    Works closely with the Radiologist to ensure proper protocol for exams performed.
    Performs injections of nonionic contrast with a power injector, ensuring proper injection rates are used for optimal contrast enhancement.  Documents the patient history and the amount of contrast injected.
    Attends to patient’s care before, during and immediately following exam and notifies the appropriate party if patient’s condition changes at any time.
    Performs daily inspections of equipment and reports immediately any quality concerns as well as equipment failures or deficiencies.
    Sends all studies to PACS (image software), including any applicable prior studies.
    Performs clerical duties related to the procedures including entering information into company-specific software and documenting information into patient charts.
    Cleans exam rooms and restocks supplies for next patient.
    Interfaces with Lead regarding any and all concerns.

    Summary Description

    This position is responsible for applying their expertise in the area of obtaining diagnostic images while providing exemplary quality service to patients.  This is a part-time position working 12:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. every Friday. 

    Essential Functions

    Prepares patients for exams by greeting the patient by his/her entire name, obtaining patient history information necessary to perform or evaluate the procedure, and providing instructions and explanation of the procedure to obtain the best possible image and reduce the patient’s anxiety.
    Accurately and thoroughly screens all patients prior to entry into the MRI room.
    Prepares area for exam by ensuring the proper equipment and supplies are available before the patient is called for exam.
    Uses multiple MR equipment and software to acquire high quality images to submit to the radiologist for interpretation.
    Performs injections of contrast with a power injector or using hand technique, ensuring proper injection rates are used for optimal contrast enhancement.  Documents amount of contrast injected.
    Attends to patient’s care before, during and immediately following exam and notifies the appropriate party if patient’s condition changes at any time.
    Performs daily inspections of equipment and reports immediately any quality concerns as well as equipment failures or deficiencies.
    Sends all studies to PACS (image software) and other network nodes as needed, including any applicable prior studies.
    Manages short and long-term archival of MRI studies and produces electronic/hard copy images of studies as requested.

    Performs on-call duties at hospital MRI locations with a 30 minute on-site response time at each hospital.

    Essential Functions

    Reception:

    Greets all patients in a professional manner and directs patients to the proper waiting area for registration or examination.  Hands out necessary paperwork per exam scheduled for completion by patient before registration.
    Answers all telephone calls within three rings with “Good Morning/Afternoon/Evening, thank you for calling PENRAD, this is (Name) may I help you?”  Transfers call to appropriate personnel, if applicable.
    Maintains patient flow by notifying registration staff of patient arrivals.  Notifies Lead of any back-ups in registration.
    Dispenses and explains preps (instructions) for radiology exams.  This includes verifying the type of exam the patient is scheduled for before releasing the information and logging the information you have released to the patient.
    Releases medical records following outlined procedures.
    Maintains the lobby area and front desk for professional appearance and efficiency.
    Rotates between all PENRAD Imaging facilities as scheduled by Lead, if requested.

    This position is primarily responsible for providing professional, technical support to Radiologists and staff for all IT needs.  This position will work alongside with other System Administrators and other IT staff in performing IT functions including, but not limited to: Windows server and desktop administration, virtualization (server and desktop), enterprise storage, networking, and firewall support.

    Essential Functions

    Includes developing, installing, configuring, maintaining, supporting, and optimizing all network software / hardware.

    Assists in maintaining the day-to-day operations of servers, hardware and critical systems including: storage, virtual environment, and infrastructure

    Works with System Administrators for the installation of hardware and software on servers.

    Supports and monitors all aspects of the network topology.

    Monitors and maintains network stability using various tools.

    Prepares and maintains documentation of all enterprise systems
