• What Is A Radiologist?

A radiologist is a physician who completes an additional one-year internship and a four-year residence in diagnostic radiology. Our radiologists spend more than a year beyond this level of education to obtain sub-specialty fellowships such as neuroradiology, pediatrics, and interventional radiology.

  • What Does a Technologist Do?

All PENRAD Imaging technologists are trained to properly prepare and position patients for each procedure and to operate the corresponding equipment.

  • Why Is Sub-specialty Expertise Important?

The radiologists with a sub-specialty in a particular area offer the patient heightened insight and expertise. Sub-specialty training gives the radiologists a greater breadth and depth of knowledge which benefits the patient.

  • How Do My Results Get Communicated to Me?

Board Certified Radiologists interpret all of the exams. Please be assured that although you may not see the radiologist personally, he or she will view or “read” your exam thoroughly. The results of your exam will be reported to your referring physician and he or she will discuss the results with to you.

  • How Can I Schedule an Appointment?

The majority of imaging studies or exams requires a written order from your doctor. There are a few exams that do not require a physician's order; Bone Density, HeartScreen and Preventative Screening Mammography.

Your physician's office can schedule your exam for you or you can call us once you have obtained an order. Contact Scheduling at (719) 785-9000 or click here to fill out a scheduling online request.
